About the event
Welcome to the vibrant world of Optics and Photonics!
Summer School in Optics and Photonics is an annual tutorial based summer school. SOP’24 is being hosted and organized by Applied Photonics Initiative under the supervision of Prof. Varun Raghunathan, Prof. Tapajyoti Das Gupta and Prof. Srinivas.
The summer school is an immersive journey into the fascinating realms of light and its myriad applications. By this school, we intend to offer an unparalleled opportunity to delve deep into this captivating field. Throughout the summer school, participants will embark on a dynamic exploration of Optics and Photonics, uncovering the principles that govern the behavior of light and its interaction with matter. From the fundamentals of geometric and wave optics to the cutting-edge advancements in photonics technologies, our curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of this ever-evolving discipline.
This summer school combines lectures, hands-on laboratory visits, and interactive workshops to engage participants in experiential learning. Whether it’s learning about the properties of non-linear optics, the design of optical systems, or the applications of photonics in emerging fields such as quantum computing and biophotonics, this summer school provides an opportunity to the attendees to deepen the knowledge and sharpen skills in the field of Optics and Photonics.
Beyond the classroom, our summer school fosters a vibrant community of learners, providing ample opportunities for networking, collaboration, and inspiration.
